Railay is reached only by boat. A longtail from Ao Nang Beach takes about 15 minutes, and the resort says the trip from Krabi airport is about 45 minutes by car plus 15 by boat. It is not for travellers who want a modern, quiet room. Oyster reports dated decor and fittings in disrepair in some rooms, spotty Wi-Fi and few English TV channels.
